Johanna Miller
SONOGRAPHER
MS, RDMS
Johanna earned her Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and a Master’s degree in Health Informatics from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS). She is ARDMS-registered in both Abdomen and Obstetrics and Gynecology. She was first drawn to sonography by a fascination with anatomy and the investigative nature of medical imaging. Johanna focused her graduate capstone project on the role of remote imaging in expanding healthcare access, a research interest that transitioned seamlessly into her work with mobile and telehealth applications.
While her formal training began in human medicine, animals have always been a central part of Johanna’s life. Growing up surrounded by them, she always knew they would eventually play a role in her professional future. To stay connected to that passion during her education, she spent weekends working with mobile veterinary clinics. It was there that she saw firsthand the profound impact mobile ultrasound has on a veterinary team's ability to provide timely, life-saving care. For Johanna, bringing her clinical expertise into the veterinary world was a natural and fulfilling evolution of her career.
Today, Johanna is proud to bring that affinity for animal care and her clinical experience to the team at Focused Ultrasound Resources (FUR). She enjoys supporting veterinary practices with high-quality mobile imaging, providing the critical diagnostic information teams need for patients who now greet her with wagging tails. When she is not in the field, Johanna is at home on her small farm in southern New Hampshire with her family and a lively crew of animals, ranging from loyal dogs and cats to spirited goats and chaos-loving emus.
